Our parish will be returning to the Dominican Republic for a life-changing mission.
This weeklong trip includes home visits with incredible people, daily prayers, evening Mass, and a two-day Medical Clinic.
Our mission is spiritual and medical. During our mission, we will visit al the homes in the community and gather each evening in the local parish church for Mass.
In addition to this, we will hold a Medical Clinic on two of the days, which will serve the needs of the community ranging from General Medicine, Cardiology, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dentistry, and new this year we are looking to offer Ophthalmology. In our previous missions, 400 - 500 people have been seen each day.

Donate Supplies
We are collecting specific items to bring with us. Donations can be dropped off at the Church Rectory. Items needed include:
Soap, toothpaste, baby wipes, Clorox wipes
Medical gloves, disposable masks, baby diapers
Bedding, sheets, and towels
Donate Medicines
We need both children's and adult medicines:
Pain relievers (Aspirin, Advil, Tylenol, etc.)
Vitamins (Prenatal, Multivitamins, Vitamin B Complex, Omega 3)
Cough and cold medicine (Robitussin, Mucinex, Vicks, etc.)
Anti-parasite medicine (Albendazole, etc.)
Antibacterial ointments/creams
Donate Medical Devices
We are also collecting the following medical devices:
Glucose meters, stethoscopes, Nebulizers, and blood pressure monitors
Non-motorized wheelchairs, walkers, canes
Join Our Mission:
Volunteers: All Ascension parishioners are welcome to participate. During Mission Week, we visit all homes in the community from 8 AM to 5 PM, unpack all the donations, and help set up the clinic. During the clinic assisting in intake and providing general support around the clinic such as transporting patients, etc.
Medical Personnel: If you are a medical professional in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, gynecology, dentistry, or optometry, we need your help at our medical clinic on July 4th & 5th. There is flexibility for medical volunteers who can't attend the entire week of the mission.
